Engr. Dr. Sohaib Manzoor - Consultant

Dr. Sohaib Manzoor is an Engineer, academic leader, and researcher in the field of Information and Communication Engineering, with specialization in software-defined networking (SDN), wireless network optimization, and next-generation communication systems. He has successfully completed his postdoctoral research fellowship at AGH University of Science and Technology, Krakow, Poland, under the NAWA Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange, where his work focused on performance evaluation and optimization of software-defined protocols for wired and wireless networks. He is currently serving as the Director, Business Incubation Center (BIC) at Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST). In this role, Dr. Manzoor is leading innovation, entrepreneurship, and startup incubation activities, strengthening academia–industry linkages, promoting commercialization of research, and supporting student- and faculty-led startups. With over 14 years of experience in academia, research, and administration at MUST, he has made significant contributions in securing competitive research funding, publishing in reputable journals and conferences, supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research, and organizing national and international workshops and training programs. He has also served as Manager Innovation & Commercialization at ORIC, where he played a key role in technology transfer and research commercialization initiatives. Dr. Manzoor’s research includes novel solutions for Wi-Fi handoff optimization and load balancing in high-density software-defined wireless networks, validated through platforms such as Mininet-WiFi and NS-3, achieving substantial reductions in handoff delay and performance improvements for delay-sensitive applications. He has received international recognition for his research contributions, including an award from the Islamic Republic of Iran, and actively serves as a reviewer, mentor, and resource person for research, innovation, and entrepreneurship programs. His professional interests include software-defined wireless networks, intelligent communication systems, secure networking, and innovation-driven entrepreneurship.
